SIAS signed a DCS contract with Linde Process Plant Co., Ltd. in Hangzhou on Sept.16, 2004. This DCS system is to control an air separation plant of a JV of Taiyuan Steel Co., Ltd. and BOC Group.

Simatic PCS7 is applied in the project. In this project, all the ET200M process I/O modules are connected to PCS7 controller via PROFIBUS DP in remote mode. This DCS structure helps the end-user to save a lot of cable, installation and commissioning cost. It is a very important PCS7 application reference with PROFIBUS installation. All the field cabinets applied in this project meet the requirement of IP65. These cabinets will be installed on the field. So the distribute control is realized in this project really.

Linde Process Plant Co., Ltd. is an EPC company to deliver air separation equipment and its control solutions. The headquarter LINDE is located in Munich, Germany. In Hangzhou, China, there is LINDE Hangzhou Engineering and Sales Center. In China air separation marketplace, LINDE plays an active role and holds a very big market share. This contract means a breakthrough of PCS7 system in the China air separation marketplace. It is estimated that there will be more and more PCS7 applications in China air separation marketplace in the near future.
