On 13 July, 2004, SIAS signed a contract about installation of the Guangzhou Yuebao cement DCS project in Tangshan, Hebei province. The Guangzhou Cement Plant New (GCPN) is established by Heidenberg Yuebao Cement Limited company in Guangzhou's Huadu district (Guangdong province). The plant runs a common silicate cement production line with an annual output of 2274 thousand tons.

This project is the biggest DCS system in the Chinese cement industry with more than 17000 I/O points, 14 sets of AS417, six redundancy servers, 5 client servers and 1 engineer station. The system adopts the PCS7 V6.0 + CEMAT V6.0 software platform.

Winning this project is of great importance to SIAS' development of the cement business. This is the first time that SIAS received a complete cement DCS contract with the contents of system assembly, program configuration and testing. It is also the first cooperation with the biggest cement chief contractor in China. Among SIAS' DCS projects, the GCPN currently is also a biggest project signed. All of these 'first' strongly prove that SIAS achieves competence to install very important and very huge automation system in cement or other industries. With the help from all sides, SIAS has provided an impressing behavior in cement business. cutting costs, reducing the deliver time and improving the reaction speed to the customer.
