Artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and edge computing - are you following these hot topics? Many sci-fi and fantasy films seem to have become realities, and Siemens is one of the “directors” behind the scenes.

In China, Siemens operates 21 R&D hubs with nearly 5,000 R&D and engineering staff. They are developing practically applicable innovations for China and the world, and creating value for all industries.

Recently in Beijing, Siemens has set up its first AI Lab in Asia. From ideation and value co-creation to prototype validation, it truly makes AI within reach of us all.

Who benefits most? Customers of course! Siemens will leverage technologies of digital power plant and AI to help CR Power build up the first Centralized Supervision and Analysis Specialist System. The system will cover 19 power-generating units in eight power plants, and enable multiple functions such as early warning and advanced diagnosis. Power plants with a “smart brain”. Isn’t this cool?

AI applications require numerous data, and this is where IoT can play a significant role. Our IoT experts have built up a demo line of food bottling in Suzhou. It perfectly demonstrates how Siemens uses continuously optimized “Digital Twin” of the production system and process to help enterprises evaluate production line upgrade plans. Welcome to visit there!

On May 14 and 15, Siemens held Siemens Innovation Day China 2019 in Chengdu. Innovation leaders from governments, enterprises and academia gather here to discuss how to “drive innovation for value co-creation”, and how to build up an open and inclusive innovation ecosystem. Around the summit, Siemens further broadened its cooperation with partners including Tsinghua University, Baowu Carbon and Luzhou Laojiao.

No one can walk alone on the path of innovation. Siemens' two innovation centers built together with the local government in Chengdu are also about to open. Wanna know more stories about innovations of Siemens and its partners? Stay tuned.
